Product FAQs
Board grades, dimensions and fitting.
What is the difference between P4 and P5?
P4 is designed for structural flooring in dry interior conditions. P5 adds moisture resistance for humid interior environments. If you are unsure which grade your project requires, check the project specification or speak to our technical team.
What size are Loftspan boards?
Both products use the same fitter-friendly 1220 × 320 × 18mm format, designed to rotate through 90° in confined loft spaces.
How many boards are supplied on a pallet?
Each pallet contains 51 wrapped packs of 3 boards, giving 153 individual boards in total.
What does shade preference mean?
Engineered timber naturally varies in tone. You can request light, medium or dark, or choose “No preference / fastest available”. Shade selection is representative and does not change structural performance.
Are the boards suitable for every loft?
Suitability depends on joist centres, loading, environment and the project specification. Always follow the latest technical sheet and installation guidance, and obtain professional advice where required.
Order FAQs
Pallet quantities, changes and volume pricing.
Can I order individual packs?
The online range is sold by the full pallet so trade customers receive consistent pallet pricing and delivery handling.
Can I change an order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as possible. We will try to help before the pallet enters the delivery network, but changes cannot be guaranteed once dispatch has been arranged.
Do you offer pricing for larger orders?
Yes. For requirements over 15 pallets, or recurring orders, use our large orders page to request a tailored conversation with Carter.
Will I receive a VAT invoice?
Yes. Order records and VAT documentation are supplied with the order confirmation or made available through your account.
Can I order without creating an account?
Guest checkout may be available, but a trade account makes repeat ordering and access to order records easier.
Shipping FAQs
Coverage, access and delivery-day expectations.
Where do you deliver?
Standard pallet delivery covers eligible UK mainland addresses. Highlands, islands, Northern Ireland and restricted-access locations may require a separate quote.
Is delivery included?
Standard three-working-day pallet delivery is included for eligible UK mainland orders unless checkout or your quotation states otherwise.
Is the three-day service guaranteed?
It is a delivery target from dispatch, not an absolute guarantee. Stock availability, order cut-off, address checks, weather and pallet-network conditions can affect timing.
What access does the delivery vehicle need?
Pallet deliveries normally use a large goods vehicle with tail lift and pallet truck. The delivery point needs a firm, level, accessible surface; pallet trucks cannot travel safely over gravel, soft ground, steep slopes or steps.
What should I do if the pallet arrives damaged?
Photograph the pallet before it is moved, note visible damage on the delivery record and contact us promptly with the order number and images.
Payment FAQs
Cards, bank transfer and payment confirmation.
Which payment methods can I use?
Available methods are shown securely at checkout and may include card, SumUp-assisted card payment and BACS bank transfer.
Are website prices shown with VAT?
Product prices are displayed excluding VAT, with VAT added and itemised at checkout.
When is a BACS order confirmed?
A BACS order remains on hold until cleared payment and delivery details have been confirmed by the Loftspan team.
Do you store my card details?
Loftspan does not receive or store your full card number. Card details are handled by the selected payment provider under its own security controls.
Can I request a pro-forma invoice?
Yes. Choose bank transfer where available or contact the sales team with your company and order details.
